Marshall White, a retired Noblesville firefighter with more than 27 years of experience, announced his candidacy recently during a gathering with friends and family in downtown Noblesville. White began his career with the Noblesville Fire Department in 1983 and retired this month as assistant fire chief. In a press release, White said he is running to continue serving the community in a new role.

“I run not to oppose any single person, but to propose new policies and direction,” White stated. “I have come to realize that there is a job to do and I am ready to get back to work.”

Ditslear officially announced last week that he will seek re-election and a third four-year term.
