MAYOR JIM BRAINARD FILES CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORT
Mayor Jim Brainard filed his campaign committee’s finance report this morning disclosing contributions of $226,680.00 during the previous year. “We are enthused by the support shown by over 170 individual donors as we gear up for the elections in 2011,” said Andrew Greider, campaign manager for the mayor’s campaign.
In addition, the campaign disclosed $90,000 in pledges not yet received. “We wanted to fully disclose our fundraising activity, but Indiana law is silent on the reporting of pledges,” said Greider. “We had many contributors who participated in the 2010 elections and wanted to wait until this year to make their contributions.”
The mayor’s campaign will continue to conduct fundraising activities as it launches the formal campaign activities in the weeks ahead. “The campaign is fast approaching and we are organizing our volunteers for a citywide effort. Our website and other communications will go live very soon, and through the support of these donors and our neighborhood volunteers, we will run a positive and informative campaign,” said Greider.
