Today, the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (MPAC) endorsed Jim Brainard for  re‐election as mayor of Carmel. MPAC’s endorsement was based Mayor Brainard’s ability to improve the quality of life for Carmel‐area residents, while fostering economic development in the community.

“Supporting Mayor Brainard in his re‐election efforts was an easy decision for us,” said 2011 MPAC Chair Kellie Stanley.  “In his previous terms, Mayor Brainard has taken tremendous strides to improve the quality of life for not only the  homeowners of Carmel, but of Hamilton County and central Indiana as a whole.”

Mayor Brainard’s commitment to enhancing property values, providing public amenities that home buyers seek and
fostering economic development – all while keeping Carmel’s property taxes among the lowest in the state – is an
impressive track record and one that MPAC is proud to support. MPAC believes that with the continued leadership and  vision of Mayor Jim Brainard, Carmel can continue to be a great community with a healthy and vibrant real estate  market.

The Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) is a professional trade association serving the needs of over  6,500 REALTORS® and affiliate members in 10 central Indiana counties. MIBOR formed its political action committee  (MPAC) to achieve one of our core interests – helping to elect and working alongside locally‐elected officials to ensure  the continued quality of life we all enjoy in each of our communities.

MPAC endorsement decisions are made by MIBOR members (REALTORS®, appraisers and affiliates) serving as MPAC  Trustees. The trustees volunteer their time to review candidate information, conduct interviews and decide which  candidates to support based on non‐partisan criteria.
