Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County is embarking on the search for an executive director.

Marti Lindell resigned as executive director Sept. 23 for personal reasons. Lindell lead the nonprofit organization to feeding more than 200 homebound seniors since 2006.

“We wish Marti well. She has a true passion for ending senior hunger,” said board president Susan Wack in accepting the resignation. “As the voice of Meals on Wheels, she has been an outspoken advocate for our clients and their families.”

According to Wack, the organization’s meal services and volunteers will continue as scheduled while the board searches for Lindell’s successor.

Meals on Wheels is currently feeding more people than it ever has in its 36-year history, delivering 4,800 meals in August.
