Lt. Jeff Horner of the Carmel Police Dept. has told Current in Carmel that officers yesterday responded to an incident that has since been deemed a suicide.
A man shot himself while in his car, sometime around the middle of the day near 116th Street and Keystone Parkway, Horner said.
Earlier today it had been reported by other media outlets that a shooting had occurred somewhere near 116th Street and Guilford Road. Employees in the department’s administration office said their database showed no record of a recent shooting near that area, and Horner confirmed that no shootings have occurred today.
