Meredith Carter joins Board of Directors for Aspire Indiana

UntitledAspire Indiana is honored to announce the addition of Meredith L. Carter, Ed. D. to its Board of Directors. Dr. Carter has served in many community-serving educational roles throughout his career that spanned from a high school science teacher and tutor to Chancellor of Ivy Tech State College. His dedication to serving others and helping those that are less fortunate will be a tremendous asset during his term on the board.

Born in North Central Indiana, Dr. Carter received both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Butler University and his doctorate in Educational Administration from Ball State University. He has also served in member or leadership roles at various nonprofit organizations including: The Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, the Hamilton County Leadership Academy, Janus Developmental Services and the Mental Health Association of Indiana. In 1997, Governor Frank O’Bannon recognized Dr. Carter with the state’s highest award, “Sagamore of the Wabash”.

Married for 48 years to his wife, Nellie, Dr. Crater has raised four sons, being highly involved in both their sport and academic endeavors. His love for family, students, friends and the citizens of Indiana continues to motivate him daily to serve others.

Aspire Indiana is a private nonprofit organization that provides therapy, recovery and employment services to people living with behavioral and mental health disorders, addictions and substance abuse. Aspire offer services to families and individuals of all ages at eleven locations conveniently located throughout Central Indiana, including Madison, Hamilton, and Boone, Counties and Washington and Pike Townships in Marion County.
