On February 9, 2012 The Fishers Police Department was contacted by a resident in regards to a possible marketing scam. The resident told officers that he was approached by a subject representing a company named SRI Inc. The subject told the resident that his company was contracted byFishersHigh Schoolto create a “marketing folder”. The subject asked the resident for a donation.

Investigators contacted The Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation and determined there was no contract with SRI Inc. The Fishers Police Department is warning residents not to give money to anyone representing SRI Inc. and to immediately call 911 if they are approached by a representative of this company.

The Fishers Police Department would also like to take this opportunity to urge residents not to give money to any cause without first verifying its legitimacy.
