From Cates’ website:

Adam Cates has had a front row seat to witness life’s hardships and God’s grace.  Before becoming a worship leader, Adam spent his career in police work facing the harsh reality of human depravity, abuse, drug use and crime.  When a car accident and a death in the family sidelined his life, Adam turned to songwriting to articulate his inner turmoil, the struggle of living as a Christian in this troubled world, and the miracle of God’s grace and forgiveness.  Adam’s songs are the outpouring of his honest prayers with God, crying out for lost and desperate people, seeking reassurance of God’s presence, and prayerfully worshipping God’s love and providence.

The “Come to Me” Food Pantry opened its doors October 17, 2007 with the goal of providing emergency food to Hamilton County residents.  Its desire is to provide assistance with compassion and respect.  Needs have increased to the point where it now serves an average of 310 families each calendar month.  In an average month, the pantry distributes over 20,400 pounds of food and personal care items. It is located at 9690 E. 116th Street.
