Noblesville Schools to collect school supplies for Henryville area

0

Noblesville Schools is spearheading a drive to collect school supplies for students in the Henryville, Ind., area where schools were destroyed by a tornado on March 2. A representative for West Clark County Schools said Monday that although donations have poured into the community, one thing she had not seen were donations of school supplies. The school district has six schools in addition to the ones that were destroyed.

Each of Noblesville’s schools and the Central Administration Office will serve as a collection point for school supplies through Friday. It will schedule a delivery to Clark County the next week.

Noblesville Schools also is a collection point for monetary donations through the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis. Checks should be made payable to American Red Cross with “Disaster Relief” written on the memo line. All proceeds will be contributed to the Red Cross. Your donation will enable the Red Cross to continue to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support, and other assistance in response to disasters such as the southern Indiana tornadoes.
