St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church annual Parish Mission next week

St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield will hold its Annual Parish Mission from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday to Wednesday. The Rev. Dennis Corrado, C.O. will lead the mission, “Forgiveness Leads to Wellness and Joy.”

Each day of the mission will have a separate theme: Monday – What is Forgiveness and Why is it Difficult to Practice; Tuesday – Living the Truth: The Only Environment for Forgiveness; Wednesday – Practical Ways to Increase the Joy which Follows Forgiveness.

Corrado will preach Mass at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and all Masses on Sunday – 8 and 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Identified by the New York Daily News as one of New York’s new leaders for the 21st Century, Corrado is also the founder and provincial superior of the Oratorian Fathers and Brothers of St. Philip Neri in Brooklyn. He has preached in a number of states and foreign countries and holds graduate degrees in theology, religious education, and communications. As President of the Breukelein Institute, Corrado has spent most of his working years in the administration of community based projects within the city of New York.

The Annual Parish Mission is free and open to everyone. There will be a hospitality gathering following the mission on Monday evening in the Parish Hall. A free-will offering will be taken on Wednesday and DVDs and CDs of this series are available for $10 each.
