The Center for the Performing Arts today announced a performance by the band Punch Brothers. Tickets for the June 6 performance at the Palladium go on sale Tuesday, April 10 starting at 7 a.m. online at www.TheCenterForThePerformingArts.org. At 10 a.m., tickets are available at the Palladium box office and by phone at 317-843-3800.

Punch Brothers was formed in 2006 by mandolinist/singer Chris Thile with four other virtuosic musicians: fiddler Gabe Witcher, banjo player Noam Pikelny, bassist Paul Kowert and guitarist Chris Eldridge. The group combines elements of the band’s many musical interests, including indie rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass and classical music.

Punch Brothers new album, Who’s Feeling Young Now?, was released by Nonesuch records on February 14 to critical acclaim. Rolling Stone said: “The acoustic framework dazzles—wild virtuosity used for more than just virtuosity.” Since the release, the band has been playing sold-out shows across the U.S. They also play festivals including Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass and Newport Folk this summer.

The June 6 concert at the Palladium starts at 7:30 p.m. Starting April 10, tickets are available at the Palladium box office, One Center Green, by phone at 317-843-3800 or online at www.TheCenterForThePerformingArts.org.
