CIZ COM Off Main Street artOff-Main Street Players – Zionsville’s Community Theatre – recently announced that applications are being accepted for the Fractured Fairy Tales summer day camp program.

Fractured Fairy Tales is designed specifically for students in middle school through high school. Everyone plays a part during this intensive, week-long day camp where participants will collaborate to deconstruct classic fairy tales and master a variety of improvisational acting and writing techniques. Campers will re-imagine beloved characters and situations into entirely new short plays that they’ll stage, rehearse and present – along with classic rock music – in a performance for family and friends at the end of the camp week.

Fractured Fairy Tales encourages team building to achieve common goals. Campers will have the opportunity to build on existing acting and musical theater performance skills through creative expression, while developing real-world skills like self-discipline and self-confidence.

The camp will be held in the Community Room at the Zionsville Town Hall, 1100 W. Oak St., July 16-20. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday; on Friday, campers will stay until 5 p.m. to present a performance for friends and family. The camp costs $180.
