This year’s PurpleStride Indianapolis, one of 50 so-named events held across the country in support of the fight against pancreatic cancer, will take place June 9 at the IUPUI Wood Plaza Fountain in Indianapolis.
Sponsored by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the event will feature a 5K timed run, a one-mile walk, children’s activities, entertainment, refreshments and more. Zionsville’s Ray Cortopassi will emcee the proceedings.
Registration begins at 7 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. The walk and run will commence at 8:30 a.m. Closing ceremonies bring the curtain down at 9:30 a.m.
