Indiana Pacers guard and Indianapolis native George Hill has partnered with Community Health Network to be the face of the Community Sports Medicine program. Hill will focus on improving sports performance training for student athletes in Community’s school-based sports programs.

“We are thrilled to have a local sports hero partner with Community Sports Medicine,” said Bryan Mills, president and CEO of Community Health Network. “Hill already has a successful program called George Hill Rising Stars that teaches basketball skills and life lessons to more than 70 boys and girls. He will be taking his philosophy of sports performance training to our school-based sports medicine programs and assisting young people with becoming healthy adults and better athletes.”

In addition to being featured in advertisements and promotional materials for Community Sports Medicine, Hill will also provide advice, expertise and his observations related to sports performance and proper development of athletes who utilize services with Community’s school-based sports programs.

“I’m excited to broaden my reach to student athletes through Community Sports Medicine,” said Hill. “I want to spread my message of honor, respect and dignity while improving the basketball skills of young people. I’m serious about positively impacting Indianapolis through basketball.”

Community Sports Medicine school-based programs provide athletic trainers for participating school systems’ middle and high schools, while a team physician is available to provide coverage for various athletic events. Community also has a team of orthopedic specialists to whom athletic trainers and sports medicine physicians can refer athletes for treatment. In addition, Community provides sports physicals, student echocardiograms, impact testing and concussion management and physical and occupational therapy available through Community’s outpatient Rehab and Sports Medicine Centers.
