Why did you become a teacher? I knew since I was a little girl that I was going to be a teacher. I loved my first French class in ninth grade and loved my French teacher.

What goals do you have for your students? Of course, my goal is to teach French to students and encourage them to learn to appreciate another culture. I also hope to instill in them a strong sense of responsibility, self-discipline, self-motivation and integrity.

What do you encourage parents to do at home to help their children strengthen particular skills? I would encourage parents to have an active part in their student’s learning. There are many ways parents can help a student study. In world language learning, practicing vocabulary and monitoring completion of homework is key.

Who is your favorite musician or band? The Beatles

What’s something your students might not know about you? I was a majorette in high school.
