Busy month at Zion Nature Center

JULY 17    TIE-DYE TUESDAY
1 to 3 p.m.

(Ages five and up) Bring life to an old or plain T-shirt and learn the art of natural plant-based dyeing with Indigo. We will provide everything but the shirt. $2.

JULY 18    WILD WEDNESDAY
1 to 5 p.m.

(All Ages) Join us for our “Wild Wednesday” for live animal programs, crafts and more throughout the afternoon. Free.

JULY 19    FOREST FORTS
10 to 11 a.m.

(Ages five to 10) Meet at the library for short stories and then walk to the Zion Nature Center and put your imagination to work building forest forts with natural materials. Free.

JULY 24    WET & WILD CREEKSTOMP
1 to 3 p.m.

(All Ages) Join us for a “creekstomp” at Creekside Nature Park (on In. 334 across from Lions Club Park.) We will provide the buckets and nets to find fish, crawdads, and other creatures that live in Eagle Creek. Wear old tennis shoes that can get wet. Adults must accompany children.

JULY 25    INDIANA JIM’S REPTILE EXPERIENCE
11 a.m.

(All Ages) The Friends of Zion Nature Center will host Indiana Jim and his live reptiles at the Zionsville Town Hall, 1100 W. Oak St. This “Creature Feature” is free and generously sponsored by the Zionsville Kiwanis Club.

JULY 26    FAIRY HOUSES
10 to 11 a.m.

(Ages five to 10) Meet at the Library to read about Fairy Houses and then walk to the Zion Nature Center to build your own fairy house. Free.
