NEW-Options Counseling

Monday, July 23 from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Abby Vivo from CICOA will be available by appointment to assist seniors one-on-one with health insurance options available to Boone County residents.

 

NEW—Computer HelpFor Rookies

Tuesday, July 24, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.Do you wish you knew more about computers and how to use them, but you aren’t sure what questions to ask?  Get one on one instruction with basic computer skills from BCSSI staff member Frances Thurston in the computer lab at BCSSI.  Walk ins welcome.

 

NEW–Support Group

Bereavement Support Group will begin another 6-week support group meeting on TuesdayJuly24 from 1:00-2:30 p.m.  “Working through Grief.”The support group is free and for those who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one.  This is an open support group.  You may attend any of the meetings or just some of the meetings.  Registration not required but would be appreciated.  Contact BCSSI to register.

 

Lunch and Learn

Wednesday, July 25, noon till 1:00 p.m.Many seniors in our community wish to stay in their homes and live independently.  Kate Biehl from accessAbility the Center for Independent Living will present the S.A.I.L program which helps seniors continue to live in their homes with greater independence and help to improve their overall quality of life.  Lunch, which is free to the first 25 registrants, will be provided by Hickory Creek.

 

Zionsville Lunch and Learn

Friday, July 27, noon till 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Zionsville Town Hall. Learn about the Healthcare Education Learning Partners (H.E.L.P.) speaking group. H.E.L.P.’s primary goal is to give seniors an overview of the spectrum of care available to the aging. Lunch, which is free to the first 25 registrants, will be provided by the Hearth at Tudor Gardens.

 

Cards

Bridge and Euchre every Wednesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. immediately following Lunch and Learn.  Location will vary based on facility usage.  For more information, contact Olive Wade at 765-325-2436.

 

Zionsville Computer Classes

Independent Consultation-$20.00

Every Wednesday –10:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. located in the Narthex of Zionsville United Methodist Church (ZUMC).  Do you have a computer project you need help completing?  Instructor John Paulsrud will help you with solutions.  This class if for students who have some computer knowledge.Makes checks payable to ZUMC.  Space is limited.  Registration is required.  For more information or to enroll contact Boone County Senior Services at 317-873-8939 or 765-482-5220.
