NEW—Computer HelpFor Rookies

Tuesday, August 14, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.Do you wish you knew more about computers and how to use them, but you aren’t sure what questions to ask?  Get one on one instruction with basic computer skills from BCSSI staff member Frances Thurston in the computer lab at BCSSI.  Walk ins welcome.

 

NEW–Support Group

Bereavement Support Group will begin another 6-week support group meeting on Tuesday, August 28 from 1:00-2:30 p.m.  “Working through Grief.”The support group is free and for those who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one.  This is an open support group.  You may attend any of the meetings or just some of the meetings.  Registration not required but would be appreciated.  Contact BCSSI to register.

 

Lunch and Learn

Wednesday, August 15, noon till 1:00 p.m.  Learn about the “Positive Effects of Home Health Care.”  Lunch, which is free to the first 25 registrants, will be provided by Excel Home Health.

 

Cards

Bridge and Euchre every Wednesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. immediately following Lunch and Learn.  Location will vary based on facility usage.  For more information, contact Olive Wade at 765-325-2436.

 

Zionsville Computer Classes

Independent Consultation-$20.00

Every Wednesday –10:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. located in the Narthex of Zionsville United Methodist Church (ZUMC).  Do you have a computer project you need help completing?  Instructor John Paulsrud will help you with solutions.  This class if for students who have some computer knowledge.Makes checks payable to ZUMC.  Space is limited.  Registration is required.  For more information or to enroll contact Boone County Senior Services at 317-873-8939 or 765-482-5220.

 

Benefit Bank

Thursday, August 23, noon-6:00 p.m. By appointment only.Representatives will be on sight to assist low and moderate income families apply for federal work supports such as SNAP -Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly food stamps), Indiana Mortgage exemptions and others.

Thursday, August 16, 9:00 a.m., Greenwood Park Mall.

Friday, August 17, 9:00 a.m., Movie Matinee with Zionsville Meadows.

Van trip attendees must call BCSSI at 765-482-5220 or 317-873-8939 for more information or to sign-up prior to trip departure.  Meet at BCSSI for departure.  Transportation fees and meal costs are the responsibility of the attendee.  Call BCSSI @ 765-482-5220 to schedule personal transportation appointments.
