No to Mourdock

Editor,

I read the Backshop take on elections and am in total agreement about Obama, send him to “The Land of His Father” as his last free vacation trip on us taxpayers – that’s “one way.” Now as to Lugar/Mourdock, since I’ve always been an Independent I don’t get to vote in the primaries. But you guys are crazy to want that jerk Mourdock and his, “My way only,” rhetoric for our senator. He openly states that he doesn’t compromise, just what our country needs, another damn my-way-only politician. I don’t care which party they come from, they are not what our country needs. You two probably never worked a union job and being from Carmel have no idea what the unions have given America. Here’s a clue: the middle class! Now, this Mourdock jerk wanted no bailout of auto companies, to hell with those 100,000-plus jobs and all those people’s families. If I were Lugar I would be campaigning for the Democrat who is “middle of the road.” If either of you guys ever come down from your imperial glass tower, why don’t you go to Kokomo and ask those people what they think about Mourdock. As for a bailout, Chrysler was bailed out by the state of Indiana in the early 70s; the state got every dime plus interest and the gratitude of thousands of families and small business people. The government will get their (our) money back again.
