Got a problem? Send it my way

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a journalist is working to serve your readership and this is something that I have tried to do as much as possible during my time at Current in Carmel. During the last week, I have had discussions with a number of different readers who made it a point to express different problems or interesting things they have experienced throughout Carmel in the last several weeks including everything from misspelled street signs to inspirational residents of Carmel.

Current’s motto has always been “News is what our readers say it is,” and I am hoping to make that truer than ever. As Current in Carmel’s editor, I am to here to serve the readership above all else, making sure that the most important information is getting from my desk to you each and every week.

If you feel that we have missed the ball on something or are out of the loop in one way or another, please let me know. Additionally, if you encounter any problems in Carmel that you feel should be looked into further or the public should know about, I would love to know about it.

Current in Carmel is as much your paper as it is ours. That is why we happily print Letters to the Editor from our readers weekly, space willing. Even those that aren’t printed are passed around and read by all of our writers and editors. We readily accept news tips from anyone and everyone, although we are sure to put them through the ringer just as much as anything else.

We cannot be everywhere at once, and that is where the Carmel readers can help us be more informed than we would be otherwise. Sometimes, big problems affecting only a single neighborhood or area of Carmel can go unnoticed by the rest of the city. Hopefully, we can avoid that as much as possible moving forward.

Current reporter Robert Annis (@RobertAnnis on Twitter) and I are always looking out for the concerns of our readers. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected], e-mail Rob at [email protected]  or send me a message on twitter at www.twitter.com/carmeleditor.

I look forward to hearing from you!
