William Roberts and Jon Roth of Carmel Middle School were recently selected as pages for the Indiana State Senate. State Senator Mike Delph of Carmel welcomed the students to the Statehouse last month.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse and are able to tour the building, observe debates from the chamber floor and interact with their state senator.
“This program gives students from around the state an opportunity to expand their education beyond the classroom,” Delph said. “It’s always a pleasure to meet with future leaders from my district, and I encourage those currently in middle and high school to take advantage of such a rewarding and unique experience.”
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session, which ends April 29.
