Lunch series focuses on performance

The Noblesville Chamber is introducing a new Lunch & Learn series for 2013. For the first time in the series history, Lunch & Learn features four separate sessions designed to help managers accept responsibility for their teams’ performance.

Mary Noble, director of business development at the chamber, said this series would provide practical tips and strategies for raising performance levels in a “book club atmosphere.”

“You can jump in any time,” she said. “All are based on the same book, Monday Morning Leadership, with a couple of chapters each session.”

Throughout the series, Noble said you can learn how to become a driving force in your organization, manage your falling stars, middle stars and superstars while developing strategies for taking control of your time.

“It’s good for managers and for employees wanting to step up into the next position,” she said.

The first session will be March 7. Other Lunch & Learn sessions will be June 6, Sept. 5 and Dec. 5. All four sessions will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Taylored Systems, 14701 Cumberland Rd., Suite 100, Noblesville.

The cost for the series is $100 for all four sessions or $30 per session if purchased individually. This price will include lunch and the book “Monday Morning Leadership” by David Cottrell. Participants will also receive a workbook to use at all the sessions. Registration must be received by Feb. 28.

The series is available to anyone interested, not just chamber members.

“Each year, our member outreach committee tackles the topic of what would help a lot of business people. A few folks in the committee read the book and said it would be a good presentation,” Noble said.

Presenters for the entire series are Lee Wenninger and Jake Doll.

Wenninger is the owner of Express Employment Professionals’ office in Fishers. His office focuses on Hamilton County while three other Express offices ensure that all of Indianapolis is supported. During the past seven years, Wenninger’s office has helped more than 4,000 people find jobs at more than 300 companies in Hamilton County.

Doll is the president of Sandol & Associates in Noblesville. Doll has more than 40 years experience in corporate business from product development, operations and manufacturing, up through general management. His background includes many years of working with companies in the Far East, South America and Europe in procurement and sales. Doll is an Air Force veteran and graduate of Purdue University.
