St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital has been named to the list of “100 Hospitals with Great Neurosurgery and Spine Programs” by Becker’s Hospital Review. Hospitals were selected based on nominations, clinical accolades, quality care and other spine and neurosurgical proficiencies.

In 2002, St.Vincent expanded its neuroscience service line through the formation of the Indiana Neuroscience Institute. The structure of the program offered a formalized opportunity for St.Vincent to work collaboratively with five affiliated physician practices: Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine; Indiana Neuroscience Associates; Josephson-Wallack-Munshower Neurology; Northwest Radiology Network; and the pediatric neuroscience specialists at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.

The institute was renamed the St.Vincent Neuroscience Institute in 2011 and is an established center of excellence that provides advanced, comprehensive care for neurological problems in both adults and children. The St.Vincent Neuroscience Institute specializes in areas of brain and spine tumors; neuroscience traumas and emergencies; cerebrovascular, epilepsy and seizure; movement disorders, neuromuscular and sleep. The dedicated team of specialists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists, nurses and technicians ensure high quality of treatment, surgery and expert rehabilitation services.

In addition, St.Vincent contributes to neuroscience research, and conducts a variety of education and community outreach events. Nationally, the faith-based institution is ranked and recognized for stroke by the American Stroke Association, HealthGrades and nationally accredited by The Joint Commission. The neuroscience specialists at St.Vincent provide patients with a comprehensive approach for all neurological needs.
