The Noblesville Schools’ administrative and support staff moved into the new Educational Services Center on July 1 and with Mayor John Ditslear and representatives of the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce officially opened the new facility with a ribbon cutting on July 16.

The Educational Services Center, 18025 River Rd. just north of Marsh Supermarket, was purchased on a long-term contract for $1.6 million last September and renovations started in late winter. The facility replaces the Central Administration Office that had operated at 1775 Field Dr. since 1978. When that office opened, the district’s enrollment was about 4,700. This year’s enrollment is expected to exceed 9,800.

Nearly 50 employees work at the ESC. The center houses the superintendent’s office as well as offices for the district departments of curriculum, technology, student services, human resources, business, food services, community relations and operations. It also includes large rooms for school board meetings and other district meetings and training sessions. About a third of the second floor of the two-story building is unfinished and will provide space for future growth.

The district office phone number is unchanged (773-3171).

The administrative offices of the Hamilton-Boone-Madision Special Services Cooperative now occupies the former central office on Field Drive.
