Jamerson, an Ohio native who was a first round draft selection in the 1990 NBA draft, played for the Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and New Jersey Nets from 1990 through 1993. He has been the head coach at Traders Point Christian Academy for the past five years. During that span, he has produced a record of 78-35, and developed three Division I basketball players while leading the program to three consecutive Hoosier Holiday Classic Tournament championships, two consecutive Bostick Cup championships, and two Indiana Christian State Tournament Championships in 2010 and 2011.

“We have enjoyed watching from the sidelines as Dave Jamerson established a strong foundation for the Academy’s basketball program. He has created a process that we will continue to foster, and above all, he maintained a primary focus to use basketball as an avenue to grow God’s Kingdom here in Indiana, nationally, and internationally,” TPCA School Board Chair Tracy Dull said. “Dave will be missed, but we look forward to seeing him cheer our teams on from the sidelines.”
