After its inaugural lift-off, Launch Fishers has collected new members and services orbiting around its first calendar year.

Kurtis Moss, executive director of Launch Fishers, is excited about the growth in the first year alone.

“Our first year has been fantastic; we have 275 members at this point and are still growing daily,” Moss said. “In our first year we grew and we are continuing to grow and provide more services for members through deepening communications, offering good opportunities for members to connect with other businesses throughout our community, Indianapolis, and beyond one day.”

“It is co-working space, for entrepreneurs working on startup, high-growth and high-potential enterprises, with so many other services, for big potential enterprises, fast growing business, not just within technology, but includes nonprofits on humanitarian endeavors,” Moss said. “We have an interesting spread of members from a hot air balloon pilot, off the cuff business, several people doing mobile app development to web graphic designers.”

In addition to providing a space to work, another initiative was created called Iconic Wednesdays, which is a time for all members to come together and brain storm, share ideas, successes and other business strategies.

“Brad Seaman of Monsterconnect.com and I wanted to form a group where everyone at Launch was invited to stop working on the operational side of the business and spend one hour sharing struggles and successes specifically related to sales and marketing a small business,” Jason Hutcheson of Iconic Partners, Iconicpartners.com, and Launch Fishers member, said. “By doing this, we can create a think tank that helps reduce the amount of trial and error that generally has to occur in effectively marketing small businesses.”

What has Launch Fishers done for its members?

“The diversity of the talent and specialties available in the common area at any one time is incredible.  We are always finding new opportunities to partner and share expertise with other companies,” Hutcheson said.

Second, the low fees and generous amenities allow access to meeting rooms, technology, and space that simply could not be achieved on most small businesses’ budgets.

Third, the enthusiasm generated in the atmosphere when a group of entrepreneurs share space pushes and drives motivation to consistently perform at a high level.  There are no distractions.  Everyone is pushing for success.  Success rubs off and those groups that are willing to network and share will find a tremendous amount of intrinsic value in the Launch membership.

Launch Fishers is a nonprofit 501c3 company founded by John Wechsler, in conjunction with the town of Fishers. For more information, call 537-7939 or visit www.launchfishers.com.
