Zionsville and Carmel schools are once again proving to be the best of the best when it comes to state testing scores. In Zionsville, 92.8 percent of all students had passing scores in English and math, while 93 percent of Carmel students had passing scores in English and math.
This is compared to the Indianapolis Public School district, which had a small rise from 50 percent last year to 51.6 percent of students passing this year. This comes after a devastating year in 2009, when only 38 percent of students passed.
According to the Indiana Dept. of Education, 74.7 percent of students passed in English and math statewide, which is a one percent increase from last year.
