The Zionsville Community Schools board of trustees voted unanimously June 8 to place a referendum on the November ballot that would maintain the current referendum maximum tax rate, which is set to expire at the end of the year.

The maximum referendum tax rate as approved by the school board would stay at 24.44 cents for the next six years if voters approve it in November.

Several Zionsville residents and business owners spoke in support of the referendum at the school board meeting, with no one speaking against it.
