The Baby Boot Camp will have its own Halloween touch.

Kara Babcock, who owns the franchise for Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, will run the second Baby Boo Camp Oct. 26 through 29 featuring pumpkin workouts.

The Baby Boot Camp is a stroller fitness program where mothers can work out with their babies or young children (ages six weeks to 4 years old). Franchises are putting on the Baby Boo Camps nationally.

The Oct. 26-27 classes feature pumpkin workouts. On Oct. 28-29, the mothers and children wear costumes. On Oct. 28, the class is at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Fishers hospital and 5:15 p.m. at St. Vincent Carmel hospital. The Oct. 29 session is at 9 a.m. at the Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis.

“The moms bring their pumpkins and the moms and little kids dress up,” said Babcock, who works out with her 22-month-old son Everett. “I make them, the moms not the babies, do squats and lunges with the pumpkins.”

Afterwards, the mother and children can decorate their pumpkins at the hospital classes.

“It’s open to anybody to come,” Babcock said.

Babcock said the first Baby Boot Camp class is always free to determine the mother and their child enjoy the class.

“You’re running with the strollers, and we’re doing nursery rhymes and singing so they’re entertained,” Babcock said. “For the last 20 minutes, they can get out of the stroller while we’re doing core mat work, push-ups and sit-ups.”
