Paul Edward “Tater” Tate, 90, Fortville, died Dec. 6 at home. He was born Jan. 19, 1925 to Daniel A. and Delia (Seymour) Tate in Noblesville.

Paul was a pipe fitter for Eli Lilly of Greenfield for 36 years. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was a WWII veteran. He attended Fishers United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fishers Masonic Lodge #533 and the Scottish Rite. Paul loved coin collecting, racing and crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruby (McKinnon) Tate; daughter, Donna (Bruce) Marks; son, Tony (Kathi) Tate; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 10 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, with visitation beginning at noon. Burial was at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fishers United Methodist Church, 9691 E. 116th St., Fishers, IN 46037; or the Hamilton Co. Cancer Fund, c/o Good Samaritan Network, PO Box 339, Noblesville, IN 46061.
