Local sports fans can party the night away for a good cause this month at Eagle Madness.

The event, sponsored by Bill Estes Automotive, plans to bring a night of televised off-season basketball games, stadium-style food, live entertainment and more for local residents ages 21 and older. Proceeds from the fundraising event will go toward the Zionsville Athletic Booster Club, which provides Zionsville Community High School, Zionsville Middle School and Zionsville West Middle School athletic programs with funds.

“Everything is ever evolving,” ZMS and ZWMS Athletic Director Kelly Antcliff said. “We want to get the best and safest equipment, but in addition to all that, this event is really big for the camaraderie of our department. The coaches volunteer their time, and parents are driven to support us, too.”

A silent auction is also scheduled during the event, featuring prizes such as exclusive one-on-one training sessions with coaches, autographed items from Indianapolis Colts players, admission to youth athletic camps, gift cards and more. Funds raised will allow the Zionsville athletics programs to purchase additional items not covered by general athletics fees, including track hurdles, weight room equipment or repairs to batting cages.

“(Eagle Madness) lends itself to people understanding how much support our student athletes need. While it is 21-and-over, it’s all about supporting our kids,” Antcliff said.

Groove Essential, featuring Zionsville Middle School music teachers Josh Weirich and Chris Murray as two of the group’s members, will play live music.
