Dr. Nicholas Klemen, a Carmel High School graduate, recently married Dr. Marisa Rubio at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Nicholas is the son of Don and Julie Klemen of Carmel. He is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine.
Marisa is a graduate of Marshall University and Yale University, where she earned a Ph.D. in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. She is a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md.
The couple met at Yale University, where Nicholas was a resident in general surgery. He is currently a fellow in surgical oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md.
