With the 2016-17 school year quickly approaching, the Heart and Soul Free Clinic, 202 Penn St., is now offering back-to-school immunizations for children grades K-12 in Hamilton County and surrounding ages free of charge. Children who are uninsured or Medicaid recipients are eligible for the free immunizations. All immunizations necessary for a child to attend an Indiana school are available.

To sign a child up to receive the vaccines, call 317-804-5782. Vaccines are available 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.

Executive Heather Brownell stated vaccines are provided through Vaccines for Children, a federal government program.

The Heart and Soul Free Clinic, a 501(c)(3) program, also is providing sports physicals for students in grades 6 through 12 at no cost. The free sports physicals are offered to uninsured and underinsured students, as well as those on Medicaid.
