Australian author Dorothy Adamek is scheduled to make two appearances in Carmel.
She will speak on “The Power of the Storyteller” at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at Carmel Friends Church, 651 W. Main St. She will speak on “When Displacement Takes Us to Where God Would Have Us” at 11:30 a.m.Aug. 29 at MCL, 1390 Keystone Way.
Adamek writes displacement fiction, stories of people upended by trauma and tragedy and their struggle to belong in a new world. Her fiction is set in the Victorian era.
