New Events at the Museum of Miniature Houses — Enjoy not one, but two events at the Museum of Miniature Houses. First, see Hidden Treasures of the Museum: dollhouses and settings from the Museum’s permanent collections that have rarely or never before been on display. The second exhibit is Hoosiers Making Miniatures, a bicentennial exhibit celebrating professional miniature artisans working in Indiana. Voices from the Past — Did you know the city of Westfield was involved in the Underground Railroad? Learn more about Westfield’s settlers at Voices from the Past 2016. This hour and a half Living History Walk will feature a guided tour through downtown Westfield and provide information about the city’s most historic locations. Discover your talents! Children’s Festival for Arts and Education — This festival celebrates the International Talent Academy’s 10th anniversary. All families with children ages 3-13 are welcome to join in playing games, learning and even performing. You might earn prizes, meet characters, see the talent show, earn stamps to build a “learning passport,” or more. As a local nonprofit based in Carmel, ITA is committed to giving back to the community by connecting children and adults during this festival in a communal environment of learning and growing important young minds through liberal and performing arts education.
