Gal’s Guide to the Galaxy Craft Night — Ladies, get your hands on crafts that focus on female empowerment and deep connections with the world (and the galaxies beyond). Savor Westfield — Enjoy a tasting event with samples from 16 local eateries, wineries and breweries. Kids’ Dulcimer Class — This is a unique six-week class for kids wanting to explore playing dulcimer instruments. Local musician Sharon Broyles will guide children and teach them to play simple tunes. A variety of music styles will be explored, with an emphasis on Irish music. Kids will also sing, act out poems using sound and rhythm and get to sample a variety of other percussion instruments. Carmel on Canvas — See over 50 painters create masterpieces before your eyes. The art of Plein Air Painting, or outdoor painting while studying a subject, has garnered significant interest in recent years. The 2nd annual Carmel on Canvas highlights these skills with a juried show and prizes. Artists will have three days to paint, including a Quick Paint on Sunday for anyone 14 or older. St. George Festival — The St. George Festival presents a heritage of faith and hospitality  through delicious Middle Eastern food, live music and dancing, a carnival, silent auction and more. Influences from the Holy Land, the Middle East and the other cultures that make up St. George’s congregation are interwoven into all activities. Church tours will explain the church’s Byzantine architecture and iconography painted by a team of Greek iconographers. Service animals only, please. 30th Annual Noblesville Tour of Historic Homes — Enjoy exclusive access to some of the most beautiful, historic homes in Noblesville. During this year’s event, 11 private residences and cultural sites will open their doors to visitors with an interest in historic architecture or influential areas from Noblesville’s past. You can walk or bike this tour. Plan to eat lunch at one of Noblesville’s great restaurants as you enjoy your day downtown. Festival of Machines at Conner Prairie — Celebrate Indiana’s rich history of transportation at the 3rd annual Festival of Machines. Get up close to one-of-a-kind rare cars, classic cars, steam engines, helicopters and more, and learn their unique stories. A select group of concours-quality cars will be showcased throughout this two-day festival, but expect to see much more than just cars. Famil activities will be offered each day. Sept. 17-18.
