Last month, Westfield Police Dept. officers participated in the 15th Beyond the Badge 5K Run and Walk supporting the Jason Baker Public Safety Scholarship Fund, which provides assistance to Indiana high school seniors intending to pursue careers in public safety at an Indiana college or university. The fund was established in honor of Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason M. Baker, who died in the line of duty Sept. 17, 2001.
