John Timothy ‘Tim’ Russell, 68, Noblesville died Oct. 31 following the return from a trip to the east coast with his high school sweetheart and beautiful wife of 42 years, Diana (Beason), his best friend for 50 years.

Tim was born June 3, 1948 to Luther and Arlene (McQueary) Russell in Liberty, Ky. Following graduation from Noblesville High School and Ball State University, he worked for himself as an electrician and enjoyed his lifelong dream of being a private pilot, flying his own plane.

Tim was an incredible and dedicated father to his two children, John Zachary Russell and Abigail (Paul) Moore. His pride reached new heights with his promotion to “Papa” as he was over the moon for his two grandchildren, Arlie Mable Moore and Hunter Westerfield Moore.

In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Tim is survived by three siblings, Paul Russell of Diamondhead, Miss., Judy Smith of Plymouth, Ind., and Connie Snethen of Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Ron Russell.
In lieu of flowers, his family has requested contributions be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
