On Nov. 4, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the opening of the eastern portion of the Midland Trail in Westfield. The new phase extends from Gunther Boulevard to Gray Road. The City of Noblesville will take over construction of the Midland trail beginning next year. The latest phase of construction was $600,000, which came from Westfield’s park impact fees. The extension added 4,000 feet to the existing trail.
