Mrs. Jean Marie (Lundergan) Diersing will turn 100 years old on March 8.  Diersing is the wife of the late J. Fred Diersing. Together they moved from Broad Ripple with their family to College Hills (101st & Carrollton Ave) in 1955. As one of the first families at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, their children, Patty (Meister), Larry, Kathy (Payne), John, Mary Beth (Males), Michael and Bobbie (Sutton) all went to OLMC school then on to graduate from Carmel High School.

The family lived in Carmel until 1974 then moved to rural Sheridan. From there Diersing, a resident of Hamilton County most of her life, moved to Westfield until she was ready for assisted living at The Lodge in Noblesville, moving to Maple Park just last April when she needed more care.

Regina Marie Lundergan was born in Montgomery, Ind. March 8, 1917, one of 13 children born to Anna and Michael Lundergan. She is the last surviving sibling and the only one in her family to have made it to the centurion mark.  She has 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and currently resides in Westfield at Maple Park Village. The family is hosting an open house in celebration of her birthday from 2-3:30 p.m., March 11. Friends and family are invited and will be coming in from all over the country. Please feel free to send birthday wishes to Maple Park Village, 776 N. Union St., Westfield.
