The February Teacher of the Month winner is Stacy Smith, a second-grade teacher at Pleasant View Elementary. Student Emerson Spillman nominated her. As a reward, Emerson won a pizza party for the class, and Smith won a $50 Visa gift card from sponsor Edge Guys.

Mrs. Smith is the best because usually every Friday we do something fun like making foil boats and seeing whose floated the longest. Another reason is we do my favorite subject science. Well at least we try to do science everyday. She lets our whole class pick a book and pick a character from that book and dress up like he or she on character day. I was Obi-Wan-Kenobi! Everyday I want to wake up and go to school because she makes it so fun. And so that’s why my teacher is the best teacher of all. Thank you.
