“As the Boone County Chamber of Commerce executive director, I have the opportunity to advocate for businesses and collaborate with organizations, schools, town and county officials throughout Boone County, helping our businesses succeed and our communities prosper,” Schultz said. “I look forward to growing the Boone County Chamber and meeting with chamber members to discuss their membership needs, providing resources to address these needs.”

Schultz’s goals include increasing the visibility of the chamber and its members.

“I am excited for the upcoming revitalization of the chamber website, which will create additional exposure and marketing opportunities for Boone County Chamber members as well as increasing social media presence of the chamber, chamber members and community events throughout Boone County,” she said. “The chamber will be providing a multitude of networking events that will be held throughout the Boone County region, providing the opportunity for attendees to connect with other business professionals and community members.  Professional development events will also be offered.”

Schultz said businesses and residents are moving to Boone County because it is an attractive place to live and work.

“We have access to highly skilled employees, thriving businesses, easy access to major interstates and airports, top-rated schools, friendly communities, wonderful year-long family fun events, great dining and shopping options and an abundance of trails and parks to enjoy outdoor activities,” she said.

Schultz is no stranger to Boone County. She grew up in Zionsville and lived there until eighth grade. She and her husband, John, moved back about 13 years ago to be closer to family. They have three children, Brittney, 25; Grant, 21; and Maria, 20.
