The Westfield Fire Dept. recently received a $1,000 grant from State Farm to purchase carbon monoxide detectors for local residents. “CO detectors will alert residents of a natural gas leak in their home before it becomes deadly,” stated Westfield Fire Marshal Garry Harling in a press release sent to Current. “My mission is to buy enough CO detectors, with the help of businesses like State Farm that Westfield residents will never have to experience a carbon monoxide death.” Pictured, Ben Brown, left, and Garry Harling.
