CARMEL

Construction will begin on a new roundabout at Fourth Street and Range Line Road on or after Aug. 7. The project will include deconstructing the south Arts & Design District arch, which will be rebuilt and reinstalled during the anticipated 30-day closure. Alternate routes include Keystone Parkway, Fourth Ave SW, Main Street and 126th Street.

Construction continues on a roundabout at Carmel Drive and Guilford Road. This will be a full closure of the intersection until mid- or late-August, weather and utility delays permitting. Detour routes will be marked as Pennsylvania and Range Line Road (north-south) and Main Street and 116th Street (east-west).

Hazel Dell Parkway and 116th Street is closed for roundabout construction until mid-August.

Spring Mill Road is closed south of the Main Street roundabout to 116th Street except for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use Illinois Street as a detour. The closure is expected to last until fall.

ZIONSVILLE

Construction is under way for a roundabout at the intersection of Ford and Mulberry roads. The intersection is expected to remain open throughout most of the project, but some temporary closures or lane restrictions could be in place. The roundabout is expected to be complete before school resumes this month.

WESTFIELD

Through Aug. 8, 151st Street will be closed from Towne Road to Fenchurch Drive. This will allow for utility crossings and pavement placement for the new Liberty Ridge subdivision.

East 151st Street will close for the construction of a roundabout at Westfield Boulevard. The closure is expected to last 60 days and began June 19. Motorists traveling eastbound along East 151st Street will encounter detour routing, which will bypass roundabout construction at the new intersection of East 151st Street and Westfield Boulevard, between Greyhound Pass and U.S. 31. Target will only be accessible to traffic from the east, so customers approaching from the west will need to utilize the detour route. Eastbound traffic crossing U.S. 31 at 151st Street will need to utilize the detour or approach 151st Street from U.S. 31 north or south.

Casey Road is closed north of Ind. 32 for approximately a half-mile for the construction of the Ditch Road extension roundabout. The closure is expected to last 60 days and began June 6.

FISHERS

The City of Carmel has closed 116th Street and Hazel Dell Parkway for the construction of a roundabout. A construction barrier has been placed on the eastbound lane of 116th Street at Allisonville Road to warn drivers of the upcoming construction.

The Hamilton County Highway Dept. will close the intersection of 136th Street and Prairie Baptist Road to allow for contractors to reconstruct the intersection. Signs with detour routes will be in place.

Construction has begun on the new roundabout at 96th Street and Lantern Road. 96th Street traffic between Kincaid Drive and Fitness Lane/Pinecreek Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction throughout the summer.

The Brooks School Road bridge over Interstate 69 is closed as Milestone Contractors rebuild the bridge deck. During the closure, traffic will be detoured to Promise Road via 126th and 136th streets.

Lane restrictions will occur on 116th Street between I-69 and Cumberland Road through summer for improvements.

GEIST

Road construction began July 17 to replace a drainage culvert on Pendleton Pike between Carroll Road and 65th Street near Lawrence. The speed limit has been dropped to 35 mph. Drivers should expect narrow lanes. Heading eastbound, the left lane will be closed, and heading westbound, the right lane will be closed. INDOT expects the road to resume normal operations in early October.

On I-69 between 116th Street in Fishers and Ind. 38 in Pendleton crews are completing nighttime work as they construct a bridge. Work is expected to continue through Oct. 31.

Paving work and traffic-signal installation is in progress on U.S. 36 near Garden Street in Fortville. Drivers should expect constricted road widths in this area.

NOBLESVILLE

On Ind. 38 between Ind. 32 in Noblesville and I-69 in Pendleton, road crews are working to repave portions of the highway. A slow lane is in effect 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Work on the five-points roundabout at the intersections of 10th Street and Greenfield and Christian avenues continues. As the roundabout is being constructed, an all-way stop has been put into effect, and no left turns will be permitted.
