“Riverview Health is a great partner with the city of Westfield,” Mayor Andy Cook said. “As Riverview embarks on completing its building on the corner of Ind. 32 and U.S. 31, the city was honored that Riverview wanted to expand its partnership by offering free sunscreen to Grand Park visitors.”

Riverview installed the sunscreen dispensers as a service and the product will remain free of charge.

“Our mission at Riverview is to improve and preserve health in the communities we serve,” said Brandy Hill, Riverview’s director of public relations and marketing. “Choosing the Grand Park (Sports) Campus was logical. With dozens of events being hosted there over the course of the year, it only made sense.”

The dispensers are scattered throughout the complex. The sunscreen is available at seven concession stands, the Grand Park Events Center and two sports administration buildings.

“We want to provide the sunscreen dispensers indefinitely,” Hill said. “Especially with our continued growth at the Westfield medical campus, we look to help the community in every aspect.”

Each dispenser contains a 30 SPF BrightGuard sport sunscreen with lotion. The sunscreen is specially formulated for athletes, Hill said. It can withstand hot summertime workouts and is water- and sweat-resistant, according to the manufacturer. Riverview not only has installed the dispensers but also will maintain them throughout the year by providing refills when necessary.
