Seeds of Learning, an Indianapolis-based non-profit dedicated to providing a world-class education to underprivileged children in northern Pakistan, will host its third annual Ladies’ Chai Social from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Aug 13 at Ritz Charles.

The mission of the Ladies’ Chai Social is to honor and celebrate the roles women play in the community as leaders and educators. The goal of LCS is to support and empower women to build strong communities and raise strong and confident women.

“We host an all-ladies event for women to connect at all levels – personal, professional and emotional. Our hope is to bring women from all different walks of life under one common goal to support and empower each other in what we do,” said Sadaf Kheiri, LCS chair and founder and Seeds of Learning board member.

Event vendors include Young Living, Posh, Pineapplo, LuLaRoe and Sanaaz Couture. Non-profit organizations, including Little Red Door, ACLU, Horizon House, Women 4 Change and the Immigrant Welcome Center, will be on-hand to engage with attendees. The event will feature the “Hour of Empowerment,” a live fundraiser for Seed of Learning’s Educate the Educators Initiative. The event will also include a keynote address from Anisha Ismail Patel, founder and CEO of InnovusED, dinner and socializing.

The event is open to women from all walks of life. Kheiri believes the event helps woman to connect on a deeper level. She said she would love to have women of all ages, professions, races and backgrounds attend the event.

“My goal at this year’s event is to connect women to different organizations throughout Indianapolis and raise awareness of how we can get involved in organizations that make a difference in our community,” Kheiri said. “When we step outside of our bubbles, we may find new inspiration.”
