“One thing that was missing was things for women here,” said Patti Arbuckle, president

of Bridgewater Women’s Club said. “The Bridgewater Club is so amazing. I have been active with a women’s group before this and thought I saw a need.”

The Bridgewater Women’s Club provides an outlet for all female members to build relationships and give back inside the community.

On Nov. 4, the group adopted the Westfield Youth Assistance Program as it’s philanthropy.

“This is exclusive for the women,” Arbuckle said. “Forming friendships and having fun events is what this organization is about. We are so blessed with what Bridgewater has and offers. This is only to enhance that and provide an avenue for women.”

The organization was founded Oct. 4 and is still a work in progress. Twelve interest groups were created, including everything from euchre and knitting to ‘foodies around town,’ and ‘wine divas.’

“These (groups) will all meet at different times throughout the month,” Arbuckle said. “You must belong to the (Bridgewater) club to partake.”

BWC will feature a main event once a month. Upcoming events include a December holiday bazaar with shopping and an open bar. For February, ‘Sweets with your Sweetie’ will be offered, featuring appetizers, wine and a photo booth. A March Madness event also is planned before the year-end April gala, which men are invited to join.

Events will run from September through April with a summer break. For more, visit thebridgewaterclub.com/web/pages/membership.
