Commentary by the Fishers Winter Market
The beginning of November marked the return of the Winter Farmers Market in Fishers. Hosted on Saturday mornings at the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park building, the market is the place to kick off a weekend of fresh and local finds, and one vendor wants to ensure that shoppers can enjoy a delicious treat that doesn’t clash with their dietary restrictions.
Love & Cobbler is located in Fishers and features fresh, homemade fruit and chocolate cobblers made from an old family recipe that’s been passed down through the years. But their delicious cobblers aren’t all they’re famous for.
Love & Cobbler was created in January 2015 as a means to help donate to programs that provide meals to children in the summer months who might not have a meal otherwise. It sponsored Summer Servings during summer 2015, and since then has donated to various agencies and programs who provide food to families in need.
Sparked by her daughter’s desire to implement a vegan diet, owner Angi Chapman wanted to ensure her treats could be enjoyed by those with dietary restrictions. Love & Cobbler is proud to offer gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and nut-free varieties so that everyone is able to enjoy a safe, delicious treat.
Some of the most popular cobblers include peach, blueberry and apple, but many prefer the decadent chocolate cobbler. Luckily, the Winter Farmers Market makes it easy to enjoy cobblers on Saturday mornings, or to stock up for the week! Stop by and see vendors from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at Holland Park, 1 Park Dr. Love & Cobbler also offers custom cobblers. For more, visit loveandcobbler.com.
