The City of Carmel celebrated the grand opening of the Christkindlmarkt and The Ice at Center Green Nov. 18 with presentations, special music and ribbon cuttings. The wind and rain moved the festivities into The Palladium lobby and ended up closing the market early on its first day. Regular hours for the market are 1 to 9 p.m. Sundays, 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and 1 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 24. The ice rink will remain open until March.
