State Sen. Brandt Hershman (R-Buck Creek), whose district includes part of northern Zionsville, announced Dec. 22 that he will resign his position Jan. 2, 2018, and join the law firm Barnes & Thornburg in its Washington, D.C. office.
Hershman has represented District 7 since 2000. The district includes White County and parts of Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Jasper and Tippecanoe counties.
“I’m deeply grateful to the people of Senate District 7 for the chance to represent them at the Statehouse over the past 18 years,” Hershman stated in a press release. “Throughout my tenure, I have focused on making sure Hoosiers are getting the best and most efficient government services for the smallest cost.”
